Extortion Case against Sheikh Hasina

Dr. ABDUL MOMEN

THE government has not submitted any case against Sheikh Hasina yet. She has been arrested and imprisoned for indefinite period to prepare a charge-sheet against her, as per the Law Advisor of the military-backed government, Mr. Mainul Hosein. The judge did not entertain any bail petition, instead ordered to produce her before the Court after 30 days. She was taken to jail from the Court in an indecent way. The Law Advisor further stated that unless she was arrested and taken into custody, she would be absconding and therefore, as per law, it was necessary to detain her to prepare a charge sheet [in present day Bangladesh many defendants of murders are allowed to move free even they are allowed to go abroad freely].

The Extortion Case: Background
Sheikh Hasina made many statements asking the interim government to return powers to an elected government quickly and the government did not like those criticisms. The last one was a bomb shell...she stated that the DGFI (Bangladesh military intelligence) is involved in breaking up the political parties and she wanted to know their budget. No wonder, she hit the most sensitive organization and therefore, she must be punished!!

Earlier in last May she came to visit her son and daughter in the U. S. and made few comments. The government did not like those and they therefore banned her return to her own country. As she was determined to return home, a businessman named Tajul Islam Faruq, Country Director of the Westmont Ltd., Energy Company was arrested and was taken into security interrogations.

First Attempt to lodge extortion case against Hasina
Mr. Faruq hurriedly lodged an extortion case of Taka 3 crore (30 million) against Sheikh Hasina with a view to stop her return home. He stated that he took the money in cash in a brief case to the Prime Minister's office and handed over the brief case to her. As the Bangladesh Prime Minister's Office is highly secured and each items are routinely checked many times in a series of checking posts and each appointment are recorded and meetings are video-taped, the government failed to find any collaboration of the event. Moreover, it was determined that a bag of Taka 3 crore (in 500 taka denominations) would weigh over 100 kg that is very difficult to carry by hand. Once Faruq's case did not hold water, they arrested two other businessmen, one Mr. Azam J. Chowdhury and the other, Mr. Nur Ali and they lodged extortion complaints against Sheikh Hasina.

The Second Case
When Azam Chowdhury, a businessman [Chairman & Managing Director of East Coast Group, a fast growing group engaged in International Trading, Manufacturing, Power Engineering, Blending lubricants, LPG Terminal, Mines & Minerals, Information Technology, Real Estate, including investments in Banks, Finance, Leasing, Insurance, etc] was taken into custody by the Security Forces [that are judge, jury and executioner of extra judicial killings in Bangladesh], he submitted a complaint stating that he paid $5.8 million (Taka 2.99 crore) to Sheikh Hasina's cousin, Sheikh Selim, a Health Minister in her cabinet. Mr. Chowdhury reportedly has been absconding since his submission. As per media reports, he further alleged that Sheikh Selim threatened him that unless he pays him the amount, he would get his contract (to build a power plant) cancelled by Prime Minister Hasina. The contract was never cancelled and his office paid Mr. Selim with bank checks in 8 instalments. Sheikh Selim who is also under government custody reportedly confessed in secret interrogation (edited versions of CDs of the secret interrogations have widely been distributed but government officials disowned them) after 'bottle treatment' (inhuman interrogation techniques) that he paid the money to Hasina's younger sister Sheikh Rehana and only in cash. Rehana lives in London, UK. Both Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana denied any knowledge of it.

Since Sheikh Selim, 1st cousin of Sheikh Hasina reportedly received the money in the name of Hasina, therefore, she has been arrested for 'extortion'. Is this a new face of Bangladesh legal system? Will it lead the nation to a new height or questionable outcomes?

Sheikh Hasina stated that she never ever received any money neither through extortion nor through bribe. She further stated that at times many business people contributed money to her party fund or to Bangabandhu Foundation, a philanthropic organization mostly with checks. She helps distressed people from that fund. All the monies that she received while speaking abroad at various universities were sent to that fund as well.

Why Sheikh Hasina has to go?
Unless Sheikh Hasina goes, military or techno-bureaucratic governments cannot rule the country smoothly nor could a 'National Government' comprising military, politicians, civil society, journalists and technocrats be safely established. Therefore, politicians those that have marginal followings or civil society or opinion leaders and civil-military bureaucrats that hardly reach common people or willing to take risks prefer to dump her and dump her for good. Secondly, she has both good and bad; her mouth is wide open, she likes her family but kept them away from Bangladesh politics and she is never afraid of speaking out for common people, the weak and the poor. She is a symbol of democracy and a torch bearer of the rights of the common people, the have-nots and their welfare. She initiated many progressive programs, for example, old-age pension, Mukti-judda batha (allowance), free education for girls, rehabilitation for Tokai (street children), set up the SAARC Fund for the victims of trafficking of women and children into slave like servitude, and signed the Water-Sharing Agreement with India and the Peace Deal with Chittagong Hill Tract and achieved near self-sufficiency in food production. She had the least corrupt government and her record of economic growth is the highest in Bangladesh till 2006. She maintained lowest inflation rate during her tenure out of her sensitivity to common people. She opened the electronic media, the private TV and the telecommunications including the GrameenPhone that brought many positive changes. As she had popular support, she was not weak and subservient either to national or international interest or pressure groups. Like all human beings she had weaknesses but rectified them when approached, for example, Gono Bhaban and the agreement with the Khilafat Party.

Why Good Opportunities in Bangladesh Somehow Turn Into Nightmares?
In 2001 when the Khaleda Zia got single majority unlike the AL, people expected better performance. Unfortunately, it reigned over the worst government that destroyed most of the nation's institutions and brought disgrace to politicians and politics. When former Chief Justice M. A. Hasan declined to take the charge of the Chief Advisor (CA) under public pressure, people hoped that a non-partisan CA would be installed. Instead they ended up with a worse choice, Dr. Iajuddin Ahmed, a highly partisan and ethically immoral CA. When the 1st Voter List under the partisan Election Commission (EC) was declared 'null and void' by the nation's High Court, people hoped to have a fair voter list. But alas! The new one ended up with over 13 million ghost voters. The people of Bangladesh desired to have a 'qualitative change in Bangladesh politics and government' and with the coming of the military-backed interim government, they breathe a sigh of relief. But the new manipulation and reform drama that are being staged is creating doubts among the people. People have started losing their faith and therefore, they want the interim government to hold a 'free, fair, non-violent and credible election' by January 2008.

The interim government did many commendable jobs and it reconstituted the EC, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), the Public Service Commission (PSC) and started a jihad against corruption that was imperative. The political parties needed a real shake up to correctly realize their faults and greed. However since corruption jihad is becoming one-sided, and no institutional reform are in the offing yet unlike South Korea or Singapore, people are doubtful of its sustainability. Moreover, corruption cases are discharged in a way that tantamount to kangaroo courts. For example, Gias Uddin Al-Mamun, a close friend of Tareq Rahman, son of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and a businessman by profession was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment as a loaded pistol was found on his living room sofa on March 26, 2007. He was arrested on January 16 and was under government custody till the loaded pistol was found. People believe it was placed by security forces. He also got another 3 years of jail sentence as he failed to submit his income and wealth statements while he was under military custody. Another former Minister has been sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment for keeping 4 half-empty bottles of liquor belonging to his foreign born son-in-law that was visiting Bangladesh during 1/11. Such verdicts provide reasons for questioning. Unless transparency, judicial fairness and justice are uphold in the corruption cases, this great opportunity for a change would be lost and the nation will suffer.

Following Pakistan's General Pervez Musharraf's strategy, the interim government initially tried (1) to exile both Begums; Begum Zia of the BNP and Begum Hasina of the AL party. Once that strategy failed, they (2) tried to form a new party hoping that in the process, Hasina's AL and Zia's BNP would be weaken. But that did not work up to expectation. (3) In order to oust them from party leaderships, they therefore approached a few politicians of the AL and the BNP parties, many of whom are reportedly corrupt or facilitated corruption (BNP's Mannan Bhuiyan doled out maximum amount of grants to party operatives). Since corrupt politicians are vulnerable, they listened to them to avoid jail and submitted reform proposals principally aiming at removal of their two top leaders. Since such strategy known as 'Minus Two" is also finding difficulties especially in the case of the AL, therefore, the government is now trying to create 10 more criminal cases against Sheikh Hasina in order to disqualify her in the next elections (in Bangladesh under duress or payment, witnesses and false documents could easily be manipulated by government or powerful] The government knows that Hasina cannot be brought or sold neither she can be tamed since she has the spirit of her father, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founder of independent and sovereign Bangladesh.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has asked both Sheikh Hasina and Begum Zia to submit their wealth and income statements for the last 60 years by next Monday, and if they fail to do it correctly, they will get 3 years imprisonment each. This should be a warning call to all citizens of Bangladesh to keep their life's wealth and income statements always ready and fresh!!!

Question is: will Hasina's departure bring good for the country? Her father's departure or murder did not bring good for the country. It neither helped achieving her father's dream, a golden Bengal, where rights of all people would be guaranteed, where economic deprivation and injustice would be a matter of the past. However, her father's killing helped Hasina to take the leadership role of the oldest party of Bangladesh, the AL. Will it repeat now? Will this arrest help her son Joy Wazed to get into politics? Will her arrest pave the demise of multi-party democracy in Bangladesh and/or will it lead it to a non-democratic country like most of the Muslim majority countries? Will it unite her party and the nation, and will it make her a real leader like her father who was arrested by Pakistan army as he was uncompromising on the rights of people and their economic welfare? Jailed Mujib was much more powerful than free Mujib. Will history repeat itself again? #

  1. People of Bangladesh love Sheikh Hasina. She is the daughter of the founder of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. She speaks the truth in a very straight way what some people do not like. I don’t think she is a corrupt leader. Some of her party men have also been doing conspiracy against her as well. They want to take the commanding position of the party. They do not know Awami League shall never be in power if Sheikh Hasina is not in the party. There is respect & emotion of the people for Sheikh Hasina. Her father, mother, brothers & relatives have been killed in 1975. She did not get justice until today. Four senior leaders of Bangladesh killed in jail in 1975. There is also no justice till now. Miscreants tried to kill Sheikh Hasina on 21 August. There is no justice for that killing plot too. This neutral care taker government just misbehaving with a former prime minister Sheikh Hasina. This government is not fair in this regard at all. What they are doing all are with ill motive. They want to quit her from politics because if Shekh Hasina runs for election there is every chance that she can come to the power. This bogus baseless spineless government has been exceeding the limits. I can feel one day people will understand and reject them. This government arrested him without any warrant, brought her to the court as if she is one of the great terrorist. Sheikh Hasina is not a coward. She wants to face them for which they arrested her in a false case. High court granted him bail and this illegal government arrested her in another case. They are trying to file many cases against her. They want to spoil her image. They are nothing just foolish. This government appealed against the bail to Supreme Court. What a fun? This government reviving cases against her while they gutless silent about the killing of the father of the nation & killing of national leaders. After her arrest anti corruption commission asked her to submit wealth statement with in 2 weeks. She requested them for cooperation as she is under arrest. That puppet commission denied cooperating her. Look what ill motive existing behind this non cooperation. This is like tying ones hands & feet then throwing her in the ocean and asking her to swim. I hate this type of ill attitude of the puppet government of Bangladesh. I hope Almighty will unveil the truth in the long run. We love Sheikh Hasina. She does not need illegal money. One can not buy people’s love by money or force. None can jeopardize the image of Sheikh Hasina. The day is not very far when people will spit on the advisors of this present spineless government.

  2. Courts & Government of Bangladesh.

I am scared at the various rulings of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh in the recent times. I feel bad when I see the court case of brutal killing of Bangabandu Sheikh Mujib & his family is at idle state in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh while court case against Sheikh Hasina & Khaleda Zia are running very fast. What a fun & farcical? Almost all the contemporary rulings of High court of Bangladesh are being turned down by the Supreme Court as if judges of high court are of insignificant and inexperienced personalities. We can feel present Supreme Court of Bangladesh has been passing judgment in a preconceived notion. It has been serving the purpose of the present controversial government. Is the present government formed legally according to the constitution of Bangladesh? No not at all. Is it within the jurisdiction of the present government what they have been doing with armed forces patronage?

There is nothing wrong if Head of the state gave approval to any file what may later found unworthy. Nobody can forecast the future. The people of Bangladesh have given mandate to the Prime Ministers for that function. However, PM has no right to give any preference in personal interest. I have a feeling that the way our government has been striving to punish our Prime Ministers is a lack of respect to the highest office of Bangladesh. The way Supreme Court is listening & acting is frustrating. They should not think that only they know everything. It appears Supreme Court judges want to send files to them after signing by Prime Minister and President for their approval. Only then they will have nothing to say later. Is that type of system exists anywhere in the world? Bangladesh could be pioneer by involving Supreme Court in decision making of the state. Supreme Court wants that type of nose nudging in the state matter it seems. I feel sorry for my feelings. None is above law except judges! Why criticism is not allowed against judges & their judgments? Do they come from different planet? Are they above all nepotism, greed & affiliations? We want constitutional right to criticize unmerited judgments in any court of the country.

Supreme Court should not behave in such way what makes people to think that they are just licking feet of government machineries. There are millions of pending cases in different courts of Bangladesh for which people have been suffering since long. There are many verdict of court not implemented by the government. There is lot of corruptions going on in courts especially lower courts. I would like to request to have a look into the matter. A judge should be above all affiliations. May I ask why case of Bangabandu is at stand still? Why government & Supreme Court are so silent here? When they are not taking due proceedings then how they are so ultra active in cases against political leaders. I do not understand why there is an ocean difference between the verdicts of high court & Supreme Court? Their must be something wrong. I also do not understand why government is so prompt to appeal against high court rulings? Once government banned Hasina coming home and now government has been trying hard to impose punishment on her by starting so many preposterous cases. One should not think himself very intelligent and people are fool out and out. If there is complain against Hasina & Khaleda for Naiko agreement concerned Presidents should also be there if those files signed by them. Concerned Presidents too should be tried for corruption.

Recently high court has passed a ruling regarding occupying office of Chairman of Election Commission by Mr. Aziz as illegal. There was a case against the President Mr. Yeasuddin for declaring himself as of Chief Advisor of care taker government i.e. he became the chief of his own, although he was carrying on the duties of the President. Everybody knows former Chief Justice has manipulated that judgment so that high court could not pass the verdict. This is the level of the then Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Bangladesh. What better do people can expect from that court? People has right to know the verdict of that case against President Yeasuddin in relation to occupying two offices at a time. I would like to request law advisor & Chief Justice of Supreme Court to unveil the screen of that laughable option of the President Yeasuddin.

Barrister Moinul sometimes found murmuring as some corrupted people want to collapse this government. He is thinking himself a hero as if he has done a big job. No, Mr Moinul what you did is just to create a dilemma in our mind so that you can prey well in that shadow. Simply I want to ask this government why price of commodities are shooting up beyond the reach of people. Why farmers are not getting manure for their cultivation? Why so many jute mills have been closed putting workers to an unbearable trouble? Moinul is thinking himself as a very successful and powerful personality. I do suggest him withdraw the emergency - go for a neutral election and then you will see people’s opinion. Are you afraid of people Barrister Moinul? None should forget that people’s court is above Supreme Court. And there is a court above all court is Almighty’s court what does not need any lawyer or witness, where none can fabricate the real truth.

What this government doing with university teachers is just rubbish! We do not want to see out teachers in such as embarrassing position. I find difficult to believe that blood of Manik Mia is flowing in Barrister Moinul. His present unacceptable activities could be due to his over obedience to his evil masters. He just wants to make wicked masters happy at any cost in order to secure or prolong his occupation as law advisor. He could have hidden ambition as well.

In the recent cyclone our government very purposefully ignores politician. Advisors are just puppets of the army. They are walking as per choice of military. One general opined no need to talk to the political leaders. What nonsense! Army officers should not forget that as per constitution they are simple employee of the country. How army chief can open bank account for relief although there is such an account being operated by chief advisor? At the same time government is not allowing political parties to open bank account for collecting funds from their members, supporters & well wishers. How political parties will come forward to help sidr victims? Where they will get money? Do they have money making machine? Government is asking all groups to come forward for sidr victims while not allowing them to collect funds. What hypocrisy?

  3. Bangladesh Supreme Court is in question?

Recently Bangladesh government has decided to send artifacts for exhibition in France. There was protest against that from various sections in the country. High court even issued stay order on sending the artifacts to France. But this government as usual does not have any faith & confidence on high court. Government has been considering high court verdict imperfect and biased as what we have been observing in relation to cases against Sheikh Hasina & Khaleda Zia. Out of suspicion overenthusiastic government is running to the Supreme Court against high court verdict very promptly. Obsessively Supreme Court stayed high court verdict. Government started shipment procedure without delay. At the core of strict security, two 1500 year old Vishnu statues were stolen while in the custody of Air France at the Zia International Airport Dhaka. Doubt of maltreatment to the artifacts by various renowned personalities has come true. Now who is responsible for this unworthy decision of Supreme Court & Government? I have enough doubt which orchestrated justice drama we are going to witness from our Supreme Court against our Prime Ministers. At this stage people can proceed to which court of law for justice? I want answer to my question from all concerned. One day this government & the Supreme Court would be tried I hope at least in the court of people. In the mean time I demand resignation of our puppet government & mannequin Supreme Court judges prior to cast more shadows in our mind.

  4. Shameless & Liar Barrister Moinul.

I have enough doubt that existing Bangladesh care taker government wants to continue in power even after 2008 showing any lame excuse. This position is beyond the dream of Frakruddin. Recently Cultural advisor Ayub Qadry resigned in relation of artefacts stolen cases. I look forward for resignation of Barrister Moinul as 11 workers killed because of his unworthy decision and lack of supervision at the time of demolishing rangs building. However, Barrister Moinul is one of the shameless guys in Bangladesh and he will not resign. I am confused whether he can speak any truth. Therefore, such morality is absent in his nature. He will be punished in people's court.

  5. Four wickets Fallen:

At long last four notorious irresponsible talkative advisors resigned as per desire of Bangladesh care taker government it seems. I feel happy for this decision of government. I want to analyze the irritating activities of fallen advisors. What Barrister Moinul has done is not acceptable to us. He insulted our teachers of Dhaka & Rajshahi Universities. He lodged many filthy complaints against political leaders especially former Prime Ministers Sheikh Hasina & Khaleda Zia. They could have done wrong in politics. It is not the way to deal with honorable former Prime Ministers. What government had done to Sheikh Hasina is just out and out stupidity. None should forget she was the head of the state. She occupied that position through people’s mandate not by gun. Moreover, she is the daughter of the Father of the nation Bangabandu Sheikh Mujibur Rahaman. Her father, mother, brothers & close relatives had been killed by bloody army in 1975. Did she get the justices? Why that Bangabandu murder case is still is idle state? Any court of Bangladesh has no moral right to make an effort for trial of recent made-up cases before old cases. There are thousands of pending cases in various courts of Bangladesh. Some cases even longer than 10 years and yet no trial has done till today. I want to ask Supreme Court Register & Chief Justice of Supreme court to reply my complaint.

JMB tried to kill Sheikh Hasina on 21st August. Where is the justice? How court can accept what Mr. Salim told about extortion under pressure? It is good that Moinul has gone. I would like to request new law advisor for a decent dealing with our former prime ministers. Let them be free on bail. Let the trial to continue as per law. Only they will be in the prison if finally accused by the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Don’t you think there is some link between rice price hike and arrest of prime ministers? There is link but irresponsible persons will not be able to sense that. Go for election you will see they will win in 5 seats. But to deal with our tremendous emotion yet we do not have any drugs or formula. Therefore, what I mean to say one has to deal with the situation carefully.

Health advisor is a beneficiary of fallen BNP government. There are pan irregularities in health ministry. There is lots of illegal politically motivated promotion case among medical teachers, huge amount of money drained to the pockets of DAB leader Dr. Zahid from purchase items. Very unfortunately Dr. Zahid is still not in custody. What Dr. Zahid done to destroy medical education would be 100 times more harmful that the ministers. We want arrest of Dr. Zahid immediately.

Industry advisor Githi Ara Shafia Chowdhury has very little sense while talking to the media. She closed many jute mills what added undesirable misery to the poor workers. It would be wise if she could have gone earlier.

Food advisor Tapan Chowdhury would remain as an example of lack of common sense for a long time when he said government has nothing to do with rice price hike. Shame!!!

Finance advisors prediction and facts are totally different. He should also go. Communication advisor Maj Gen Matin is another reckless personality in the government. It would be good if Maj Gen Matin leaves the government as soon as possible. Lt Gen Masud is another boring chap who should be punished for his poor interaction. I feel he is a Gaddar and one day he will punished for his ill manners.

  6. Boycott Grameen Phone:

An orchestrated drama is going on in Bangladesh politics. It is very clear to all that this present care taker government wants to punish Sheikh Hasina & Khaleda Zia so that they can not run the national election. It is really very bad to hear. The way govt lawers are behaving is also highly objectionable. They do not have minimum mutual respect to former Prime Ministers of Bangladesh. As a prime minister people have given them authority to take decision on country matters. If it is not related to personal gain none should challenge their decision. Prof. Yunus unveiled him as another game maker in Bangladesh politics. Being an economist he has recently been awarded Noble peach prize. I don’t think his Noble peach prize is at all related to his working field. It is just a gift to an obedient servant who has been feeding them millions of dollar through grameen phone. Prof. Yunus intended to join politics. He wanted to be President or Prime Minister what people of various sections rejected. He gave up his desire of power politics. Chief Advisor Dr. Fakruddin Ahmad is a choice of Prof. Yunus. Prof. Yunus silently playing chess behind the screen. Prof. Yunus cheated our people a lot through grameen phone. He grabbed lot of money by grameen phone. Once call rate was 7-10 taka / min what is now reduced to 25 paisa/min. A subscriber had to pay bill of full minutes even for a second. Grameen phone divided Bangladesh into six zone where a subscriber had to pay 7-10 taka / min for incoming calls. This is the picture of Noble peach prize winner. I would rather suggest to give him Noble prize on cheating. Recently Prof. Yunus commented in a bad way about treatment the of Sheikh Hasina. He told no need to send Hasina abroad for treatment. What a rubbish ! I would request present care taker government & all concern not to misbehave with Sheikh Hasina. She is the daughter of Bangabandu. Please don’t forget it & show lenient view to her. We love her. We don’t think she can do corruption. Wrong decision if any & corruption is not the same. I appeal to all supporters, workers, well wishers & leaders of Awami League to boycott grameen phone in view to protest the ill comments & spiteful activities of Prof. Yunus.

  7. Good comment about Dr. Prof. Yunus. He is an interest eater (shudkhur). Loan interest rate is indeed very high in Bangladeshi Bank. Prof. Yunus and some NGO like BRAC have contributed a lot to increase interest rate in Bangladesh. This much high interest rate is non-existing in our neighboring countries as because they do not have Noble peace prize winner like Prof. Yunus. Being an economist he got Noble prize in peace. What a caricature? Bangladeshi huzugi people have jumping with Prof. Yunus. These simple hearted ordinary people failed to understand how they have been cheated by Prof. Yunus through his Grameen Bank, Grameen Phone etc. Governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr. Saleh Uddin in recent times appealed all banks of Bangladesh to reduce loan interest to a reasonable level. He asked to keep the difference between savings interest & loan interest about 5%. No bank pay due attention to his request. Bangladeshi Banks rather raising their loan interest, service charge in various ways. I can feel Bangladesh would become interest eating (shudkhur) country and Bangladesh may also win Noble peace prize as recently we observed Bangladesh as peace loving country. We have also recently been noted that his name again emerging in the post of President or Prime Minister of a National Government. What a deception!

I would like to request all concerned of the present care taker government to show respect to former executive head of the state Sheikh Hasina & Begum Khaleda Zia. Let them be free on bail & let the court case continue without any ill motive of government. None should forget they are very popular leader of Bangladesh. They also have a legacy in Bangladesh politics. Legacy is every where in the world. Bangladesh should not try to be a pioneer in establishing somewhat gibberish. Let the people of Bangladesh decide who will rule them. Arrange a fair election. Let us see whether Dr. Fakruddin, Dr. Yunus could be able to secure a seat in the parliament of Bangladesh national assembly through a free & fair election.

  8. It is said Bangadeshi people are huzugi (over imotional) type in nature. Emotion & loose motion is part & parcel of our people. To control loose mtion we have hospitals, ICDDRB, NGO's. They are helping our diarrhoeal patients providing treatment & prevention of dehydration from loose motion using intravenous saline, oral rehydration salts etc. But there is none to control people's emotion of Bangladesh. Please be careful while dealing with Bangladeshi people. Don't forget language movement, freedom stugle, mass movement of 1990. Don't create turmoil situation in this poor country. Believe me no goverment would be able to control people's emotion. People love Hasina & Khaleda. This simple formula how seems difficult to understand by care taker govt, army and all knowing supreme court of Bangladesh. The day is not very far when they will get holes for hiding. Respect emotion of people. I ask Mr. Koreshi to be polite while making comment about our prime ministers. One day you will have a good lesson by the people. Hi, Prof. Yunus please don't try to be super genius in all fields. Please show minimum respect to your Noble peace prize. Don't prove through your spiteful activities that this prize went to an inappropriate incumbent.

  10. Please show respect to the former executive heads.

Dr. Hossein Zillur Rahman has been found active for dialogue. He is one most of the time speaking to the media. As two main political party of Bangladesh refused dialogue with this government without their party chief & president in the jail government put a case through durnity daman commission against a Senior Leader of Bangladesh Awami League Mr. Tofael Ahmed. We can feel the pulse of the government. They are making the situation more complicated. Why durnity daman commission is not investigating former ministers who were former army officers? Why many key posts of durnite daman commission & prison are filled up by army officers. Today Dr. Zillur make an statement that it matters nothing to the present government whether two main party will come for dialogue or not. He also told this government will consider peoples expectation only. May I ask do you know what the people’s expectation is? Only a fair & free election can give you the answer. Don’t hypothesize something fake or biased. You are also turning into a fool. We have an impression that you will feel the reality. Please don’t behave like an idiot. You people don’t know people’s expectation of Bangladesh. People want you to go. The sooner is better. We don’t want to see you in power what you can’t deal with. You people are just full filling the expectation army. Law advisor Mr. Hasan Arif once roared in the court for legal battle now become hearing-talking-impaired or put cotton & banana in the ears & mouth. Some sections could have put him in the mute state. Knowingly he is promoting & upholding unruly judgment of Supreme Court of Bangladesh what is totally frustrating. There will not be any amicable understanding if government goes in the wrong way. One must not deal with former executive head of the state in a dirty manner. Respect will bring respect. We want to see mutual respect between each other. Yet in spite of all non sense let us hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

Why durnite daman commission is not asking wealth statement of Barrister Moinul? Why many key posts of durnite daman commission & prison are filled up by army officers. Today Dr. Zillur make an statement that it matters nothing to the present government whether two main party will come for dialogue or not. He also told this government will consider peoples expectation only. May I ask do you know what the people’s expectation is? Only a fair & free election can give you the answer. Don’t hypothesize something fake or biased. Being a doctorate you are supposed to know well about hypothesis. Go for random sampling without any bias to know people’s opinion. You are also turning into a fool. We have an impression that you will feel the reality. Please don’t behave like an idiot. You people don’t know people’s expectation of Bangladesh . People want you to go. The sooner is better. We don’t want to see you in power what you can’t deal with. You people are just full filling the expectation of army. Law advisor Mr. Hasan Arif once roared in the court for legal battle now become hearing & talking impaired or put cotton & banana in the ears & mouth. Yet in spite of all nonsense let us hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

  12. Recently Bangladesh Medical Association leader Dr. AZM Zahid Hosain gets 13 years rigorous imprisonment for corruption. He was forcefully elected to the post of secretary general. He was a very very big corrupt person who spolied our medical education and who was the leader of all illegal promotion of inefficient, unskilled & less qualified doctors to higher posts. He had very good link with Khaleda Zia, Tarek Rahman & President Yesuddin. He utiliges that link very efficiently while doing corruption. It is very surprised Jaotha Bahini failed to arrest him. It is clear to us Jaotha Bahini did not arrest him and rather helped him to leave the country as per will of President Yesuddin. Unfortunately that President Yesuddin who was also a corrupt still occupying the chair of President. We want to see trial of President Yesuddin for helping and/ or doing corruption. What is going against Hasina & Khaleda is not justified as it does not look a fair trial. They should not be tried in emergency law. They should be freed on bail. We want a fair trial of President Yesuddin for taking a very wrong decision to be the self declared chief advisor what crated a turmoil in the country that eventually lead to loss of about 50 lives. We are so unfortunate that doing all nonsense President Yesuddin still shamelessly occupying that constitutional position. We will remain as a symbol of an unfortunate & ungrateful nation in the history.
